Special 2 Night Family Night Fundraising Events to benefit those affected at the Allina Buffalo Crossroads Clinic.
Coon Rapids (April, 9 2021) – After completing a successful campaign called “Pizza For Heroes” where through the generosity of the community and abroad, employees of Cheap Skate stayed active during the state mandated business closure and delivered over 750 pizzas to frontline workers at Allina’s Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, Minnesota, Cheap Skate is jumping in to help our friends, neighbors and co-workers once more.
“We’ve been active in this community for over 40 years. The community support in feeding pizzas to Mercy Hospital was incredible. It brought out the good in people, and we’re hoping to do the same for our friends in Buffalo” said Ed Golebiowski who operates the skating rink.
Cheap Skate has partnered with the BuffaloStrong Community to host a two night event on Wednesday, April 21st from 5 PM until 7:30 PM and Thursday, April 22nd from 5 PM until 8 PM. 100% of the admission proceeds will benefit the Buffalo Hospital Foundation’s Where the Need is Greatest Fund.
“Anyone, anywhere can also participate”. Golebiowski says. Cheap Skate will display a 40 sq. ft. banner in which the community can write messages of support that will be delivered to the Crossroads Clinic after the events.
“If you feel the time is not right to visit us”, Golebiowski says, “you can still donate as little as $5 to include your message by visiting our ticket website”.
Our friends and neighbors in our community next door need your help and support. We ask that you help us get the word out and spread some good news through our community.
